I agree. Bringing back Frankie nearly pushed me over the edge. 3 months and already 3 BFDs (Back from the Deads). I think more than 1 per year stretches my ability to suspend disbelief. If they're going to bring everyone back they might as well have scrapped the last 6 years of the show entirely and just restarted from 1993.

Wow!!! They brought Frankie back from the dead...hmm.. but doesn't that just about put Cass in nearly the same situation that he was in with Frankie and Kathleen? I wonder if Lila will really leave him or wil he talk her out of it? From what I remember of Lila, she wasn't one to be talked out of much of anything. Anyway. I agree, Jake and Vicky should be brought back too. I've been watching the episodes from 91 and 92 on hulu, but before then, I really never remembered much from probably before 95 or so. I got into watching Another World with my mom when I was a lot younger. I couldn't believe it when AW went off air! I have gotten a kick out of reading AWToday, it's been great!

One problem with bringing Jake back: Molly. They were married, and she is on ATWT and thought I doubt she will come back soon (both of her cousins, Carly and Gwen aren't on-screen anymore), how would that happen? I liked Vicky and Jake, more than I liked Vicky and Ryan, but Jake has a widow. So if we bring him back, he'll most likely end up going straight to Chicago with Abigail and Molly. The new and improved Jake didn't seem to be the type to abandon his wife. Then if we brought VICKY back, Molly's marriage to Jake would be invalid, but they can't be together because of Molly.

Long-story short, unless ATWT gets cancelled (which if the hacks from GL come over), we won't be able to bring Jake back, because we would have problems with continuity if Molly ever showed up and said Jake was still dead.

Hmmmm....Works for me given what transpired on the show from 1993 (and particularly 1995) forward.

Hehe ~ I just went back and read my previous post and realized that this is sorta being played out in the AWT role play.

Could not have said it better myself.

What took place during the last six years of Another World is why the show ended in the first place. As the philosopher George Santayana once said, "Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it." I'd sooner have AWT bring beloved characters BFD than see more favorites killed off for no good reason.

And speaking of no good reason, of all the deaths AW scripted in the '90's none was more gratuitous, senseless and unpopular than Frankie's. I've said it before----it was wrong and it never should have happened. Thank goodness that Alina and AWT have seized on the opportunity to make it right.
