After some thought, JMO, if Will was coming back to Oakdale for a good reason, even without Gwen, I'd think he'd bring Hallie. For the simple reason that Hallie is Barbara's only living grandchild. With Barbara's illness, Will should think that seeing her granddaughter would be very good medicine for his mom. This is why my money's on something more serious having happened in the Ryan family, that brings Will back to town. (It'd be pretty easy to bring a toddler into the picture, easier than getting JL to come back )

My first guess would also be Paul and Meg's wedding. I think all the Sofie madness will be over by then. And I do think that when Paul and Meg decide to get married, they won't wait long at all.

Thank you Mutti. Yes, that's what I'm guessing, and that's because I think that a set-back in Barbara's illness would be more than a two-episode deal and so would a trial. To me, the only thing that makes sense is that either Paul or Barbara call Will to tell him Paul and Meg are getting married and Will comes to be Paul's best man. That would make the most sense to be a two-episode deal. IMO

My guess is this is tied to Barbara's illness. Perhaps they realized the screwup they made by Will not finding out until just before he left town. There is no way he wouldn't return to check on Barbara. I don't think whether Gwen or Hallie would have returned means anything since I'm sure Jen Landon was probably not available and that is the main reason Gwen isn't part of the visit.

Well, I can't think he is coming back for anything that is a happy occasion. Since we don't know when he's taping, I can't really guess. But I would think it has more to do with the stuff with Sofie than any pukefest inducing Maul wedding. But, hey, Paul and MEggit seem to only connect after they have ruined another person's life and can dance on the rubble they have created, so maybe it is a wedding.

Im thinking Barbara as well. Even though Id love for it to be somehow PEG related cause I love them. I think we've seen some hints that she might not do as well as she thought. And Id love her to have both her boys with her if there was a crisis.

TPTB didn't even have Oakdalians show up for their family weddings as they should have. JMO, it does seems a stretch, and out of CG's instinctive range. I'm still thinking, something not so good.

I agree, it cannot be a good thing. I don't think CG's instincts would have him bring Will back for something good. Of course, it's all just a rumor and I won't believe a word until I see it in print.

Roger wasn't on for about a month...I want to say it was from July to sometime in August....that was when Paul was presumed dead because Craig supposedly shoved him off the edge of a cliff.

Yeah I think thats what it was. I think that Rosanna came back/first aired in August and that was the same time that Roger came back.

Cady's first airdate was July 30 and Paul had appeared I think for about a week prior to that. I think they were taping about 6 weeks out then since I think Cady actually started taping in mid-June. We had heard all of the buzz about Roger's contract status in the soap press well before he stopped airing. If he were leaving I think we would have heard by now.

It was said that Paul would NOT be recast. Roger was supposed to go back to OLTL before the shocking news that he is going to ATWT. First it was denied that he'll be Paul Ryan but soon after they admitted he was going to be Paul Ryan.

CBS definitely repeatedly denied that RH was coming and that's the reason SH was fired, they said it was story line dictated.....then finally the famous "we're changing the direction of the character" statement right before RH debuted as Paul....If tiic would just have remembered WHY they recast the role.

Thanks for posting. I am so glad JS is returing to the show for. It could be for Paul and Megs wedding or something that has to do with Babs. I don't believe RH is leaving because these rumors get started every few weeks by the same people doing wishful thinking and putting all their hopes and dreams on what they want the actor to do. If RH were leaving there would be something in print saying so. Do anyone have that info? No I did not think so.

Which only makes sense since they tape about 6 weeks out. So a denial at the end of March to the middle of April still translates to a denial until he was physically taping scenes.

Whatever. The point is that there is a rumor that Will is back for a couple episodes and we are trying to guess why he might. I don't need to argue the semantics of what happened five years ago.
