According to CBS SID, ATWT reportedly made an offer to Susan Haskell to take over the part of Lily Synder.

Hope not. Didn't like her on OLTL, don't want her watering-down the character of Lily on ATWT.

And according to Jen from SOD they got it from a fairly reliable source that it is unlikely she is the recast.
Hopefully there will be an official announcement this week.

Oh I hope this isn't true because I couldn't stand her on OLTL and I sure don't want to see her as a Lily recast!! :rant:

An announcement seems imminent. So I'm thinking we'll hear something this week.

The only thing that has been officially released is that the show has found a recast, that she did not actually screen test with any of the other actors, and that the show is certain that she will fit the role perfectly.
Personally I hope the show is prepared for a major backlash because Martha's shoes will be impossible to fill.

They didn't even see if the actress has any chemistry at all with JH?
Geez, TPTB are getting more and more full of themselves, aren't they? To not even see if this actress has any chemistry with the male they're pairing her up with?
You know what? I hope the actress fails miserably in the role of Lily. Because Martha is THE ONLY Lily.

^^^One of the rumors is that it could be Tracey Melchoir who previously tested for Meg before Marie was cast. If that's the case, she may have already tested with Jon. Otherwise I agree it's crazy to not make sure they have chemistry. What you can think would be good can fail miserably.
I feel bad for whoever the actress is. It's not her fault TPTB are making such a stupid move. I do think it is going to be an extremely difficult task to get the viewers to accept her no matter how good she is. It was Martha that made us care about Lily.
