So there are two bullets? Maybe Kit fires the second bullet, maybe she saw Sam hitting on Carly and thought Carly wanted it too.

^^^I think too that Kit will fire the 2nd bullet. I'm guessing that when Carly takes Parker to the church they leave the gun behind and then Kit will come in and fire the 2nd shot that will be the one that actually kills Sam.
