I sure hope this new recast doesn't move his family to NY if he doesn't already live there, cuz it doesn't look like he's going to be around very long either. What the ****ens do tptb think they're doing playing musical chairs with these actors? How can an actor build any kind of rapport with the fans if he's never given anything to do? They should have used some common sense with the last one, and given him a story line, instead of having him pop up once every couple of weeks to arrest someone. They're probably blaming the poor guy for not building a fan base. Tptb on ATWT have shown me what a cruel business this is with the way they treat their actors; just remember Hunt Block, and poor Jeff Meek.

Since he was only recurring, Kenneth may have decided himself he no longer wanted the part. It's very possible he found something else where they will actually use him in the part! I hope so at least. He was good and it was a shame they so seldom used him.

What a shame. I hope too that it was b/c the actor found more work and is leaving for that reason.
I don't even know why they have Dallas on the show. He never gets to do anything and he doesn't even have Jessica on to interact with.

This is crazy. I wish they would have given him more air time, maybe even his own story line. I wish him the best and hopefully he will end up somewhere where he can use his good talent.

I don't even understand why they didn't let Dallas leave if he wasn't about to get a SL.
I just googled him, he's not nearly as attractive as Kenneth and just found out he was charged for being in a fatal NYC hit-and-run. :weird:

With his cousin Bonnie coming back, Dallas probably is going to get at least some story. Maybe Kenneth couldn't commit to the amount of time they wanted.

This is crazy, a 3rd Dallas !!!! They aren't even writing material so that the actor playing Dallas gets a fair chance. My gosh if they can have new characters such as Sofie/Cole shoved down our throats then it is possible for the character of Dallas to be written better, and have him interact with other Oakdale residents. The only plus is knowing that Bonnie is coming back they may share some scenes since they are related. Come on writers get on the ball with things.

Hit and Run Driver Lawyer Claims It Was the Victim's Fault
http://www.gothamist.com/attachments/Jen%20Chung/2006_01_parks-thumb.jpg ("][/url][url="http://www.gothamist.com/attachments/Jen%20Chung/2006_01_parks.php)The NYU hit-and-run death (http://www.gothamist.com/archives/2006/01/23/woman_killed_by.php) suspect, Wole Parks, was released on $7,500 bond yesterday. His lawyer seems to be taking the "blame the victim" approach, by saying that grad student Hannah Engle "ran" into 14th Street (http://www.nypost.com/news/regionalnews/62179.htm) and 2nd Avenue where Parks was driving his Hyundai. Unfortunately for Parks and his lawyer, Parks was driving with a suspended license and fled the scene - and prosecutors made the point that Parks shouldn't have been driving at all. Oh, and a police offier says that Parks smelled of alcohol and seemed to have an open container that smelled alcoholic in the car. Parks lost his license last year with a DWI, but had it reinstated after completing a DWI program; the current suspension was due to an unpaid fine. Engle's sister, Rebecca Jupiter, spoke out (http://nydailynews.com/front/story/385384p-326989c.html) about reckless driving, "People should not take driving lightly. You can't get behind the wheel of what is really a weapon if you're intoxicated."
Parks gradudated from Stuyvesant and starred in Undressed, MTV's sexy soap. He played Brett (http://www.mtv.com/onair/undressed/storylines/week_1b.jhtml), who isn't sure if he should get circumcised for girlfriend Shay.

Yeah I read that when I did a search. Now there's a guy you really want to root for...NOT. How could they hire this guy? What did no one else show up to the audition? Sorry if this sounds like actor bashing, but the guy drove a car while drunk and was convicted for it. I don't want him on the show. I would rather them get rid of Dallas. It's not like they've given him anything to do that a day player couldn't handle.

I'd like to know why TPTB are hell-bent on holding onto dead weight like this character (JMO) but are letting significantly rooted characters like Maddie go. He's been recast a trillion times and all he's done so far is stand around holding props. Stop with the new characters and start writing for characters we've already invested in.

I don't understand why tptb got rid of two perfectly good actors who weren't given a chance to do anything, only to replace them with a drunk driver.

wow!!! I liked him.
will the real Dallas Griffin please stand up.:weird: its like walking through a revolving door.
I liked the first one the best...what was wrong with him? I guess at least they are trying to keep a black character on the canvas, it'd just be nice if he was actually SEEN!
