Hi everybody!

The surgery I was supposed to have today to remove the plates and screws in my left arm ended up having to be rescheduled. There was a power outage at the same-day surgery center due to a couple of power lines being cut. The place was running on back-up generators and they can't start new procedures when they are on back up generators.

The surgery was rescheduled for next Monday morning.

I thought I should let you all know. I am still in a cast for the time being.

Thanks Patticake!

I am frustrated because I wanted to get this done and over with. I have this dang cast on,I am on restrictions at work, and it's hard to do anything with this cast on.

idiots that were installing stoplights who cut the power lines:Hit 1: me !

Im sorry softball! I wish I could get the screws and plate out of my neck! When I had my neck surgery they put those in...sometimes I wonder If thats why I still have pain!

That could be a big part of it. I have been having pain in my wrist and hand when the weather changes. Some of that could be the plates and screws, some of it could just be the injury itself.

I'm trying to, it's not the postponement of the surgery that's bothering me right now. It's this cast I have on! I can't do much of anything with this on!

Only you, southerncharm, can call me that! I know about casts! This is like the 8th one on this arm in the past almost three years! This is a soft cast and I can actually take it off (it's only half fiberglass with ace bandages wrapped around it.). But with the fiberglass shaped to my arm basically renders the left hand useless. I can barely move my fingers to type and it gets in the way of typing-considering I do have a one page paper due in my class on Tuesday night.
