Sneak Preview: Dusty holds Emily's fate in his hands.

Jennifer's last wish (small Lucy mention in the article)

This week on ATWT, friends and family mourn Jen's passing, blah, blah.

"As a broken Dusty struggles to accept his wife's demise, Emily tries to assure Hal that her grief is genuine and not a ploy to convince Dusty to drop the charges against her. Meanwhile, Paul confesses to Meg that Jennifer's last wish was that he allow Emily to be a part of her baby's life.

After bristling at the sight of Lucy in Jen's hospital room, Dusty heads over to the memorial service, where he takes his seat without a word to anyone. During the eulogies, Paul speaks about forgiveness, and as Emily enters the church, adds that he will raise his child the best way he can.

But the loving tributes do nothing to assuage Dusty's pain, and he angrily declares that Jenniger died not because of God's will, but because of a stupid mistake. Storming out, he runs into Lucy and demands to know what she thinks she's doing there.

Dusty warns Lucy that if she's looking for forgiveness for her part in Jen's death, she won't find it here. He says he can't even look at her without being reminded of the death of the woman he loved."

Some Paul/Dusty stuff. Dusty warns Barbara that Paul is dangerous.

"Later, Dusty receives an ethereal vision of his wife asking him to help the woman who saved Johnny's life, but he admits he can't get past the horrible things that Emily did to them.

As the date of Emily's hearing finally arrives, will Dusty find it in his heart to forgive his enemy, and carry out Jen's last wishes?

Actually it probably wasn't Jennifer's fault either. Bob already said they didn't know if her staying at the hospital would have made any difference. But nobody bothered to check on the xrays and call and tell Jen there was a problem!!! She said she would return if there was a problem but the incompetents at the hospital never bothered to read an xray! That is stupid on the part of everyone at the hospital. If Lucy had taken over the case she should have followed up but she didn't! That is STUPID!!!

Well Jen should have gone back to the hospital, beacause she was coughing really bad right before Lucy came in and then when Dusty went and put Johnny down. She should of had Dusty hold on to Johnny while she stayed in the hospital. And because of that she is going to die.:cry:

It is going to be a LONG WHILE before Dusty ever gets over this. He pretty much HATES her guts for killing his soulmate and you know how he can hold a grudge. She needs to just back off and leave him alone. She already messed up once. She needs to burn her bridges where Dusty is concerned. It is pretty clear that no one will ever be what Jennifer is to him. She is the love of his life, woman of his dreams, his soul reason.

Yes, Jennifer is his soulmate. He is not going to ever love anyone like he loves her. She was his very reason. She was the one who made him a better man. It was because of her love for him that he wanted to be the better man, the man that he knew he wanted and should be. He brought such love and joy into his life. She was his whole world and he was willing to do anything for her. He has not shown anyone love like he has his Jenny and he probably won't. She will forever be in his heart. A love like that only comes once in a lifetime. Its that soulmate kind of love.

ITA! The writers are writing this true to real life for a change. When a person loses one who they dearly love they go thru different stages of mourning. Dusty first was in denial , he wouldn't admit to himself how ill she was, now she is gone and he will lash out at others in anger. Lucy will be a prime one as he will see her as the one who caused this by allowing Jen to go home....even though she told Jen not to leave the Hospital. He wants someone to blame and it looks like it will fall on Lucy.

Stupid, maybe, but this is rather true to real life, is it not? So long as we feel well enough to do what we want to do, we will do it and ignore those "pesky doctors, pesky tests." Her first priority was her child, so she shunted aside her own health issues to be with him. What mother hasn't done this time and again?

Truth is, I think a good point was made with all this, that being we are human, we are not indestructible, and our fate is not in our hands when it comes down to it, despite our feelings to the contrary, no matter how much we will our fate to be otherwise. And this story line may well make a person or two think twice before they ignore that ache or pain or pesky little breathing problem.
