Damian is here short term so get him involved in other stories make any sense to you?

Uh...he most likely is interested in her only to get Jack off his back from discovering that he, not Lily, was the one that paild Kreeger to ship Luke to deprogramming camp.
If Damian has interest in Carly, then Jack might lose focus on what he's doing.
As far as short-term...Paolo did say his stint was short-term, however, they are playing it by ear to see if they will want to keep him on longer than what he originally signed on for.

Paolo didn't say how long they want to keep him...he said basically what I posted.
It really doesn't matter how long he stays; in fact I think I would be very curious and interested to see Carly with someone other than Jack.

If he is short-term, once again I see Carly's dream being crushed; she will have hopes that someone cares enough to help her with her design. We already know Damien games, so once again the rug will be pull from under her, I hope it doesn't happen, but Carly can never gets a break (MO).

If so that is really up to Paulo and if he wants to stay longer and if the writers have a story for them. When an actor just signs on for six months that usually means they can stay longer if they want to. Look at Kin shriner, he signed on for six months and ended up staying longer. Didn't Roger Howarth sign on six months to see how things would go as Paul and he has been here for awhile now.

Okay, maybe I'm the only one who's confused, but what exactly is being asked? Are you asking if Damien & Carly will become a couple?
Carly should know better than to get involved with Damien or Simon. If she is stupid enough to get involved with either of them, then she gets what she deserves.
