From the July 11 issue of Soap Opera Digest:
ATWT's Jennifer Weds Dusty
"I was so honored that they wrote me to the very end. That doesn't always happen, and I feel very fortunate," says Jennifer Ferrin (Jennifer), who spent her last week taping meaty scenes in a hospital bed because Jennifer has a lot to take care of as she declines from a serious infection. "It felt like weeks, but it happens really fast. In doing it, I really tried to think about the perspective of a dying person. In my imagination, because fortunately, I haven't dealt with too many deaths in my own life, I could see that the important things become clear, and everything else fades away. The most important things to Jennifer are her future husband, her son and her immediate family. Leaving them with something was more important than anything else." To that end, she records a video for Johnny to guide him through major milestones in life and prepares to wed Dusty, who is still scrambling to save her life. "They let her know that it's terminal, but Dusty won't believe it. She can feel time slipping away, so getting married is something she wants for Dusty, to hold onto for as long as he needs to, and also for Johnny, because Dusty is now his adopted father," says Ferrin. The bride invites Emily to the ceremony, and also insists that her family is by her side. That means Dusty, Paul, Meg and Emily are forced to put aside their differences for the day. Will serves as Dusty's best man, and Bob, Kim, Hal, Barbara and Gwen attend, as well -- and even Lucy inadvertently catches the vow exchange. "Extraneous things are no longer important. Time is too short. Things go wrong, but if you're family, you love each other no matter what. So, there is forgiveness and moving forward," says Ferrin of the lesson her character teaches everyone this week, forcing enemies to reach out to each other with goodwill -- for now, at least.
July 6 -- Margo is shocked when a familiar voice calls for help.
July 10 - Their electric connection can't be broken, but they're still going through with the divorce, so Jack and Carly lay down some ground rules.
Maddie tries running from her past.
Luke gets a chance to tell Kevin his true feelings.
Katie succumbs to Simon's persuasion.
