Trouble Ahead for Maddie!
"Dallas is a rookie detective coming in from Chicago," explains Duane McLaughlin (who plays Jessica's nephew). His first full episode airs on June 26. "He basically just wants to get away from the big city. He wants to get to a smaller town and his aunt suggested he come."
But the actor remains tight lipped about exactly what kind of effect Dallas' unexpected arrival is going to have on Maddie. "There was a previous case in Chicago that Maddie was involved in," he teases, "so that's pretty much where it's going to take off."
And Maddie won't be the only young lady in town to catch the newcomer's eye, as the do-gooder may soon find himself tangling with Oakdale's current bad girl. "There should be some pretty interesting things between him and Jade." McLaughlin previews. "So we'll see what happens!
Maddie and Casey Split Up!
This week on ATWT, Maddie's attempts to have sex for the first time with Casey are foiled by the appearance of Dallas, who stirs up troubled memories from her past. As Gwen offers Casey support, Maddie deflects Henry's attempts to pry into her business. Later Maddie assures Casey she does want to make love but claims she wasn't comfortable doing it in his parents' house. But when Maddie arrives to pick up Casey for their big night out, she runs into Margo ... and Dallas. Maddie denies knowing the young man, but then panics and takes off. When the teens try to hook up again, Maddie once more suffers flashbacks that freak her out so much that she suddenly declares that they have to break up! As a heartbroken Casey turns to Gwen for a shoulder to cry on, Maddie is confronted by her past when she comes face to face with Dallas. What is she hiding?
Is Craig on his Way?
Despite assurances by reps for the show that ATWT is not currently seeking to recast the role of Craig, a source has revealed that OLTL's Paul Satterfield (Spencer) was recently approached for the role but turned it down. According to the spy, Satterfield has been promised that even though it appears his devilish doctor character (on OLTL) is being written into a corner, he is in no danger of being ousted from Llanview, therefore he has no need to line up another job. So it seems for the time being, all the Oakdale talk about Craig is nothing more than conversation.
